I am writing this article only becoz of the fact that I got disturbed by sum good for nothing idlers taking it for granted and talking crap about the recently released movie "Unnaipol Oruvan".Well! I think i am qualified to write a review becoz I watch a lot of movies,I love cinema and I am strictly unbiased!!I read a couple of reviews about the recently released film "Unnaipol Oruvan" starring kamal haasan and mohan lal.The thoughts which they emitted were strictly personal. The comments circled more about Kamal Haasan as an individual, degrading his capacities and talent and discouraging his efforts, rather than about the movie.Well!people who write these kinda "SICK CRAP",are those who dont have an idea about Cinema and any aspects of making a film and they hate a person personally so they try to pathetically find fault with them or their work or they try for some cheap popularity by bluffing like drunkards.I saw this film on theaters!!I know it is a remake. But i have one question, who in tamil cinema would have had the courage to remake a film of this genre, which totally lacks all the ingredients which an usual tamil film would have??A film like this is a trend setter, a mile stone.I do agree that some films like "House full" directed by parthiban, kind of the same genre which has already hit the theaters have failed. But one should agree that though the movie was an absolute thriller,a ripper!!it was more ahead of time for tamil audiences whose, preference were always like some 5 songs,a separate comedy track deviating from the movie,a hero doing all unbelievable acts!!But now there is a notable change this attitude. Probably if the same film had been released now it would have produce a different result altogether.Coming back to "Unnaipol Oruvan"there is no Songs in this movie, seriously thanks a lot!!I say this becoz, my personal opinion is songs are just distractions in a movie.A movie wud be be traveling in a particular direction and suddenly the heroine meets the hero or vice versa and suddenly we see them singing and dancing in some foreign countries and when we look around the theater most of the guys would have went out for spending some time inviting death!!and after the song is over, taking some 5 mins we again travel with the story. And the next thing i liked about the movie was this, Kamal Haasan seems to be occupying the screen only for a very little time with Mohan lal and his crew dominating the screen (well,as per the story it ought to be like that). This was kinda appealing, as far as this film is concerned story was not compromised for actors!!!I have a question here to those "goons",which actor in tamil cinema would have done such a role after being "a superstar"all these years and after such a mind-blowing perfomance in"Dasavatharam".In the movie, Mohan lal asks Kamal in the climax that was he a hindu because of his intolerance against the muslim terrorists killing them,For this Kamal says a wonderful dialogue,"i have also killed a hindu terrorist does that mean I am a muslim??,Why shouldn't i be a christian?a buddhist? an atheist??They don't get angry at all?" and also mohanlal asks another question to kamal that there are many terrorists in the world but why had he picked only this four, for that kamal answers that he just chose them randomly and no specific reasons. And till end he doesn't discloses his name.Any person with a sane mind would have got the point clear that there is no a provocation against "Muslim terrorists" and the film only endorsed terrorism can only be eradicated by some other form of terrorism which is showing no mercy to terrorists. The film depicts a show of a common man's anger. My opinion is "Unnaipol Oruvan" is another feather in Kamal's cap!!Kudos.....
Let some jealous jerks shout ill about the film but people have accepted this film as a "SUPER HIT"In a recent function, celebrating his 50 years in cinema Kamal said that it was only the audiences who have given him the courage to boldly make different movies. When you watch a foreign movie be it an english movie, a korean movie, etc, you will definitely accept the fact that the standards of our films are far behind. And kamal is one of those many who strive to lessen that difference. He is a pioneer. He is a legend, He is making history!"The sun cannot be hidden even by thousand hands"
